About Me
About Me
I am an Instructional Designer with over 6 years of experience in education, where I create learning solutions for diverse learners.
My emphasis includes ADDIE, SAM, Backwards Design, and Adult Learning Theories.
I’ve always had a passion for learning and teaching, something that feels deeply rooted in who I am. For the past six years, I’ve worked as an SEI teacher in a traditional high school setting, where I’ve had the privilege of teaching English Language Learners. That experience has shaped my ability to meet students where they are, differentiate instruction, and support a wide range of learning needs. Working with teens not only strengthened my skills as an educator, but also helped me discover how much I genuinely enjoy teaching and helping others grow.
Over time, that passion expanded beyond the classroom and into educating adults. I realized that the same principles—engagement, clarity, and adaptability—are just as important for adult learners. I became especially interested in creating learning experiences that don’t just inform, but empower people to apply what they’ve learned in real-world contexts, whether in their careers or everyday lives.
When I’m not designing learning experiences, you’ll usually find me staying active or spending time with the people I love most.
I enjoy playing pickleball, which keeps me moving and adds a fun, social element to my routine. I also love spending time with my pug, along with family and friends—those moments help me recharge and stay grounded.
I’m a big fan of entertainment in all forms, especially movies and live music. Whether it’s going to a concert or relaxing with a movie, I enjoy experiences that inspire and spark creativity. I’m also an avid audiobook listener, always exploring new ideas and perspectives while on the go.
That curiosity carries into my professional life as well. I enjoy spending time learning more about the instructional design field, staying up to date, and finding new ways to grow and improve my craft. For me, learning isn’t just part of my career—it’s something I genuinely enjoy in every aspect of life.
Education has always been a part of my story. My mom was an elementary school teacher, and while my dad had teaching credentials, he chose a different path. Still, their influence helped shape my own journey into education. Today, I’ve taken that foundation and evolved it into designing and developing learning experiences through eLearning courses, videos, job aids, infographics, and more. I’m driven by the opportunity to create meaningful, practical learning that makes a lasting impact.
